I know that I'm biased, being from Chicago and all, but I don't see where anyone has done more for their team than D Rose. He has pushed and pulled this team with him all year long. The team was definitely improved in the offseason with the acquisition of Carlos Boozer and Keith Bogans, Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer, but the Bulls have suffered injuries to Boozer and Noah and still managed to work themselves to a #1 seed in the East. Go Bulls!

I am not so sure about that...

Rose:
PPG 25.1
RPG 4.10
APG 7.8
EFF + 23.29

James:
PPG 26.7
RPG 7.50
APG 7.0
EFF + 28.58

But James hasn't been as big of a push for his team as D-Rose has been for his. Hell, D-Wade is bigger for Miami then James IMO. If anyone can compete with Rose it would be Durant with the Thunder. He IS that team.

The stats don't lie. I am sure Rose wins, but not because of anything he did. More because of the LBJ hate. Heat/Bulls Eastern Conference Finals should settle it.

Erick, if the award was simply "stats based", there would be no need to vote.

I think it goes to Rose. Stats aside, if you take Rose off the Bulls they don't make the playoffs. If you take Lebron off the Heat they are still where they are. Its Most Valuable Player, not Most Statistical Player...lol. if that makes sense???

It's rose hands down, think sometimes people forget MVP is for season not Carrer or past achievements and hands down rose not only has great numbers he makes his teamates play to a higher level.

I personally don't think you can go by stats. Can you as a Miami fan honestly say that James did MORE for the team then Wade did?

James:
PPG 26.7
RPG 7.50
APG 7.0
EFF + 28.58

Wade:
PPG 25.5
RPG 6.4
APG 4.6
EFF +24.78

Hell you could even throw Bosh in the mix with that team

PPG 18.7
RPG 8.30
APG 1.9
EFF + 20.44

You've got 2 guys doing basically the same thing. Who on the Bulls comes even close to what Rose does for that team? You take him off that team and with the Boozer/Noah injuries that team is doomed. You take off James/Wade off the Heat the other one just picks up the slack. I'm a Celtics fan but Rose is definatly MVP.

Wade definitely is a better candidate than James imho. He actually plays the game of basketball where James being the moron that he is(barely H.S. eduacation) think the game of basketball consists of only putting the ball in the basket.

I cannot stand watching James drive the lane. Head down and bulls forward like its freekin' football.

I love Lebron James, but he didn't single himself out amongst his peers like Derrick Rose did. The kid just put on a show the entire season; easily one of the most exciting players to watch on both ends of the court. Rose has defense and stunning offense. Wade and James were too close to compare I think. Wade is a better overall player than James in my opinion. Watch film from him back when he won the NBA championship and you will see how he single handedly dismantled my Mavericks. Wade couldn't miss a shot back then and is still great to this day. Plus Wades defense is better than James'. But nobody came close this year except for Durant to Rose,...sorry it is what it is.

You can argue all you want about James for MVP but he doesn't mean as much to his team as Rose does to the Bulls.
