I will be traveling to Detroit this month and was wondering if anybody could recommend some great B&M's to visit. Thanks in advance.

Cigar Factory Outlet in Troy, MI has a great selection...

There is a great little shop in Jackson, MI called Corona Cigar who is small time, but has a great selection and very friendly.

There is a place on campus in Lansing called "The Red Door," interestingly cheap prices on expensive stuff and regular stuff overpriced... so if you know what you like, you get an ok deal.

Mind you I haven't been to any of these shops in over a year and half, but just a heads up.

Churchills in Southfield and Birmingham are closer to Detroit (overpriced...but great collections). La Casa De Habana in Ann Arbor and Plymouth...little bit of a smaller selection but a better atmosphere. They are a members only club...but should let you use their shop. And you can smoke in the Casinos:) When are you up...maybe we can put together a little HERF if the other bros are up for it...

I'll second the CFO in Troy if you're in the area. They are my preferred local B&M. Their selection is pretty big and are pretty reasonably priced.

I might be up for a herf if the time/location is right!

about 45 minutes. You are about 15 minutes from me. There are two other shop in A2...Smokeys on stadium and another shop (cant remember name) in Nikels Arcade down in the Univerisy. Been there like 100 years...not a big selection...but a cool little shop! Lets see what we can work out! Anyone else up for a meet up? Maybe somewhere in the middle?

More like an hour to Troy, maybe more depending on construction.

The shop in Nickles Arcade is Maison Edwards. Very cool shop.

Ahhhh...yes! Did you know that they have a third humi behind the cash register? saw it open this week and saw opi's in it and had them go through everything...they had ALL their top shelf back there! Bought up a little more than I was planning when I went in! I really like that shop!
Thanks for the name...it just totally escaped me!

Don't forget that Windsor, Canada is just across the bridge from downtown Detroit. Casa del Habano is less than 5 minutes away.

If not, I'll third the Cigar Factory in Troy

I did NOT know about the humi behind the register. I've never bought any sticks from there before, but now I think that I'm going to have to make a point of it. Thanks for the tip!

Just a FYI about Windsor, you will need a passport to cross the border.

I get up to Warren/Troy about once a month on business and have only been to CFO and it's a monster humidor. I'll have to check out some other shops next time.
