Digital Camera Help

The wife and I are in the market for a new camera. We have this expensive Sony Cybershot and I hate the thing. Over the past 2 years we have had the worst lock with it and missed a lot of shot.

We are thinking of getting a Nikon S610 or a Canon Power Shot.

Does anyone got a suggestions or feedback?

I have had 2 Canons and loved them both!! Go with the Canon!

I had my dad get one for my sister this year since she wanted a new camera. 10MP, image stabilization, should take great pictures. I have the older model of the same line and have no complaints.

I went down the same road as you. Ended up getting the Canon SD1100 and love it.

Canon Power Shot / Digital Elph is by far the best consumer point and shoot for the money!

and that is what I need a point and shoot. If we are out at a bar or sporting event I don't want to have to figure out which setting out of the 12 the camera needs to be on. I just want to point and click.

I use a canon... So I guess I am prejudiced.. hehe. But it is also dummy proof, so even I take great pics

not a point and shoot but I love my Casio Exilim EX-F1 takes the best non professional(that look professional) pictures ive ever seen!

Thanks! After talking to a few other people too I'm thinking I will go with the Canon SD770. I'm going to stop after work tomorrow and play around with a couple. I got a $25 gift card for Amazon so I will order through them when I'm ready.
