Direct Merchants Bank SUCKS!

Look out guys, I've got good credit, never missed a payment with them or anyone else and bam my credit card went to 19.99% this month and no amount of talking helped.

If you are with them try to tranfer your balances out. No warning I was blind sided by this, although they claim a notice went out. A supervisor I spoke with said that they are getting lots of calls that people didn't get them, but still can't do anything about it. They SUCK.

I am paying them off and canceling the card, but dam they SUCK!

if you are with them call them and make sure they are not planning on raising your rates as well. You can't count on a notice from them.

Still pissed, but I'll end my rant.

That really does suck, wouldn't surprise me to see some of the other companies to the same thing though, especially if Direct Merchants Bank gets away with it!

i thought comrade obama's recently passed credit bill included the fact that credit cards can't raise your rates like that???????

He did but it isn't in effect yet, so some of the banks are in full rape mode getting things done before we are protected.

Credit card companies at taking huge hits and looking for way to recoup. Any reason to raise rates. Cancel the card and find another.
