Do Corojo wrappers tend to leave a "stale tobacco" aftertaste?

The smoke I had this morning left a bit of stale tobacco aftertaste on my palate. The cigar burned very well and the other flavors of wood, leather and black pepper where very pleasant but the aftertaste that lingered in the finish wasn't. Should I expect that flavor with corojos?

Smoke a few more and find out. But "stale" isn't a characteristic I generally think of when I think of corojo...

Regis New Corona Corojo Stale as in knowing a pack of cigarettes is stale. Or a beer is stale. An unpleasant tobacco taste that kind of reminds me of cardboard. It's been in my humi since beginning of March 2017

I just checked my records and I've smoked the Regis Connie and Sumatra, neither of which I'll be ordering again. So it may just be the brand but stale tobacco wasn't in my notes of these two cigars

That to me sounds like just poor quality tobacco. Or possibly wet or moldy tobacco.

OK, thanks if you guys don't commonly find the taste in corojos then I'll assume it's not the wrapper. It wasn't an overpowering flavor, just a tag a long in the finish. Maybe I'm just getting more selective in what I enjoy.
