heres what I was taught when mailing cigars in the small priority mail boxes.

use 2 different size boxes.

put your cigars with bubble wrap in the smaller box. then a single layer of bubble wrap or newspaper around the smaller box. then slip the smaller box into the bigger box. now you have double protection. (i actually learned this in health class) I have been hearing to much about leaks.

It does and the great things is they are free. You can print the label right off your printer and stick it on. Saves the expense of buying some sort of packaging at the PO or some other place. Plus, I thought it was a given that cigars in pifs, trades, etc... were to have priority shipping? This is what I always use. I was surprised one time when I was waiting on a package that I thought should have been here. When it finally arrived it was not sent priority. I did see that he had bought the box at the PO and sent it first class mail. He saved a $1.80 on shipping but I'm sure spent close to that on the package. It also looks good to know an expedite shipping service was used in shipping our fragile passions.


But what "leaking" are you referring too?

hey ron kinda off the subject but not too far....boveda packets in a humidor...how long will they last before they need to be replaced? using the 1 for every 50 plus one method

there is no real rule.

in an airtight container like a Cigar Caddy, a Boveda can last a couple of years. If you have a leaky desktop, you could get a month out of it. Humidipaks answer is that if you have a good quality desktop, your Bovedas should last about 3 months.
