Maybe it is just the boy in me, but I swear I was born in the wrong time.

I'd rather be exploring with Lewis & Clark or in London in the 1800's or Post WWII New York City....

Just a thought...

That would mean in most cases you'd be dead now............Think I will finish what time I have left right here and now.

 Nice laser sounds.

I like the thought of being born at an earlier time, but the thought of the diseases and how hard it was to live back then, bring me back to liking my life now

It is kind of cool to think of being around in colonial times or maybe the Old West but there's always one thing that snaps me back to reality.....................................................think of the women, think hygiene, think bathing maybe once a month or even once year.........that thang didn't get a good scrubbin' all that often! Whew! And talk about a jungle down there!!!

A pirates life for me! Well actually British navy around 1760's or so, they tend to hang pirates. But that was when the ships were made of wood and the men were made of steel. I have read all the Patrick Obrien novels (Master and Commander)

I like reading about history, but I'd rather be in the age of air conditioning, speedy worldwide transportation, microwave ovens and soft toilet paper.

I have to agree that it seems like it would be nice to live in the past, but with all the amenities we have today, I would rather live in the present, without all the damn smoking bands.

Let's bring this back around. Check out the Fedora Lounge- lots of retro folks and info there (1920's to post WWII). I went there for the hat forums looking for information. I can't get into the retro thing, but I like the vintage hats.
