as many shops actually advertising that they have opus and even anejos for sale? shops here have opus that are still sitting on the shelf. used to be they'd just show up and be gone in a couple of days. now, not so much??

My local shop only offers a few Tat's (whites, reds, and browns) and no reservas or special sticks so those mainly sit. They have a bunch of Anejos and Opus now which they limit to 4 per size each...and they sell...but not like they used to. Probably b/c he marks up every stick $3 at least. The economy sucks as well so that probably has a lot to do with it.

My Local has them sitting in a display case. But they are so much more expensive because of the state tax. People are just buying them online from other out of state B&M's and not having to pay the tobacco tax. I did pick up a couple love affairs though.

Yeah, I think the biggest factor is how many Opus & Anejos they released this year. My store has received SEVERAL shipments of Opus and Anejos.

There is only one place that advertises that is has opus for sale, they have Opus year round though. Not sure why they dont sell more, but I like the fact I can grab some any time I want.

i'd agree. but there may be a small bit of Padron factor in there as well. what with the release of the 45s and 44s.

or maybe the padrons are succumbing to the Tat Factor as well...

My B&M puts the packages out on display for sale...like the Prometheus. Forbidden sets...etc.. Individuals are usually reserved for the members and honestly, would never make it to the shelves for more than 5 seconds anyway.

I came across a B&M in Michigan that had both Anejo and Opus sitting on the shelves. Anejo's were MSRP but limited quantites...Opus were triple MSRP. Win some, lose some.

I am getting a lot of Opus email sales but their pricing is still over the top. They seem to be more plentiful than I have seen but I know where to get them at sticker and am not going to get duped into paying retail.

My local said that his Fuente Rep called him after his shipment of Anejo's arrived and asked him if he wanted more. Seems they have upped production a little this year....

There does seen to be a lot more boxes out. But around Illinois, If they are priced right they are not sitting to long.
