I usually get my mother something small... I mean, I still live at home, so it's a "thanks for putting up with me" thing, rather than a "be my valentine" thing. I also give something to my girlfriend's mother... Generally both are small, while my girlfriend gets something nice.

For example, this year I baked chocolate croissants for my girlfriend, and gave her flowers... Then I gave a few of the croissants to my mother and my girlfriend's mother... So I'm a brown-nose. Big deal

Yeah i make my mom and grandma my special homemade spagetti w/meatballs. They get mad if is spend any money so this is how i show them thanks. My mom for putting up with me and my grandma for practiacally raising me.

I did when I was younger and then into my teens till I was about 18. I really just concider it to be a day for lovers and leave my mom to Mothers Day. Makes sense.
