ooh, i have a rip-roaring headache! there was an explosion today in Santee (where i work) at an out-of-business pool/spa place. an employee was cleaning up and some chemicals were accidently mixed-up, and, BOOM! shut down a city block, evacuated homes and nearby businesses, and waited for haz-mat to come in an clean up. four of the first-responding deputies and one firefighter went to the hospital for smoke inhalation. they have all been released. i stood post at a road closure for about 4 hours. can't seem to get the smell of chlorine out of my nose! yuk!!

I can relate. There were some clogged plumbing in my apartment building today so the idiot building manager poured some drain cleaner in the neighbor's apartment and now my whole apartment reeks like rotten eggs. He realized he was in over his head so he had plumbers come out but they haven't fixed it yet. I sure hope this is a sulfur stench and not sewage. I feel like I'm gonna vomit. :barf:
