Does anyone else like to do chores while smoking their cigar?

Generally I smoke in the evenings well after dinner while watching TV or working on my laptop, however on the weekends I really enjoy smoking a cigar while doing the endless list of chores such as Yardwork, tinkering in the garage, etc.

What about you? Or am I alone on this one?

Joking aside, I think there are a lot of us who do that. Otherwise the phrase "yard gar" wouldn't be so common.

I used to years ago., when I had a bunch of yard gars. Now I save the cigar for when chores are done and I can relax and focus on what I'm smoking.

I get bored very easy. So my wife supports my cigar hobby. It is the only thing that can force me to sit still and do nothing (aside from associate with you hooligans) and leave her alone for at least an hour a day. I have tried to do chores and smoke at the same time but I tend to neglect the cigar and get pissed. So I am going to go with @Xavier Dredo on this one.

Generally, I like to sit and relax when smoking my pipe or a cigar. It's too easy for me to get distracted or for my smoke to get it the way of what I'm doing.

Depending on my mood, I'll either want to sit down and relax with a smoke and a drink or smoke and run around running errands which I've been doing a lot of lately.

Yup. Mowing the yard, washing the truck, picking up after the dogs. These are just a few things I do while smoking.

This is why probably half of my collection is made up of "yard gars" (diesel, ramon bueso, etc..).. all stuff I like, but is relatively inexpensive.. Im not going to cry about it if I have to stop smoking half way through, or if I drop it accidentally in the dirt, etc.... and the other half is what I would consider "true" premiums (DE, Tat, Padron, MF, etc).. If I know I have some time to relax.. or even if I am working.. but know I will be sitting, taking it easy, staring at the laptop for a couple of hours, etc.. I can enjoy something I REALLY LIKE..

I love sitting out back and throwing the ball to the dogs for hours for example, while smoking..

By the time I am 15 minutes into this and they have brought their spit covered tennis balls and kongs back to me a dozen times or so, my hands are covered in dog slobber, grass, mud, and whatever else the yard monsters have managed to get into their mouths while playing fetch..

I keep a rag nearby and clean my hands as I go..

but.. thats no way to treat a Padron Hammer..

I'll sacrifice a diesel unholy cocktail in the interest of maintaining a healthy relationship with mans best friend though

Not me, cigar time is very much down time to rest and relax. I like to use the time to take my mind of things so I can really enjoy the smoke and little bit of time I get to disconnect from the stress of life and truly relax.

Once in a while I will, but it's rare. I usually smoke just relaxing listening to music or watching a game on tv or listening to one on the radio.

Agreed....but I would hardly call this a "chore", sounds like pure relaxation to me.

I love smoking while doing chores I have some low mid grade stuff I smoke when working in the yard and will knock back the better stuff when mowing . I smoked a brick house sat when I was repainting the bathroom had to close the door and open the window but it worked out well!
