Does your concealed carry gun change during the seasons?

I was just curious if you guys change up your personel carry gun depending on the time of the year? Or do you stick with the same carry gun year round?

During the Fall through spring I prefer to carry my Glock 23. But during the summertime I find myself carrying my Colt Defender or my Taurus Model 85UL as I find them easier to conceal.

I can't even carry yet. But, my plan is... no way Jose. I am extremely comfortable with both the Glock and 1911 platforms. And quite comfortable with several others. But, I plan on sticking to either one gun, or one platform. There is too much stress in a life-or-death situation for me to be considering which gun I am pulling.

Not only does it change for the seasons, but based on where I'm going, who I'll be with, am I going somewhere on biz, or just a personal trip, etc. The more I'll have to worry about who might see it, the smaller my carry will get. My summer carry (for shorts) is a tiny .22 mag. I carried it tonight since I was in a touchy social environment.

As you and I have talked about this over a cigar or two, you know we both like a G23. It totally works for me. But if I have to take my jacket off and stay a while, it's a real none-starter and I'll go smaller.

Maybe a conversation over another series of cigars for you and me? :stretchgr

I'll tell you what... I'm waiting for an order to arrive that I'll gladly share. You can have the first one of the box right off the top. I'm taking the wife to Portland Friday night, so if the box does not arrive for a Thursday night trip to SJ's, it will have to wait for next week.

In other words, I wont' be able to give you much notice if it comes in this week. Sound OK?

When I am carrying, it is my Glock 23. Very comfortable with it, that is important if a situation arises.
I made my first visit to Smokey Joe's yesterday, and I must say it is top notch. It's nice to know there is a place as nice as that to enjoy a smoke in the nanny state of Washington.

In a word ... no. I carry my G27 summer and winter across the board. Location however does change. Obviosly during the winter I have coats or heavier jackets on, so it's on my hip. During the summer I change to my ankle holster or to a 5.11 t-shirt that holds it.

I'm more comfortable with the same weapon all the time. My duty weapon is the G22 and the G27 serves as my BUG. But off duty I continure to carry my G27.

I always wear long pants and a casual button-up shirt. Carry guns switch between a mix of my LCP, LCR and PX4 subcompact. Most days I carry either my LCR or PX4 on the hip, but if I have the LCP on the hip (tighter shirt or a tucked in shirt) I stick the LCR on the ankle. We can also conceal carry on campus here at CSU, so there's always a gun in the backpack as well. I really like having the ankle holster on campus, because it's easier to get to than a gun on my hip when I'm sitting in class.
So I guess my method of carry doesn't really change year-round, but more on a day-to-day basis. I always carry IWB tho, as I never wear a jacket inside.

I carry my Glock 23 all year long...no problems concealing. I live in AZ and regularly carry in just shorts and a t-shirt...in most instances no one would ever know I have it.

My G23 and G27 are too heavy to carry comfortably, IMO. I carry a KelTec PF-9.
