Just a heads up guys -

My local, Empire Cigars, and home of the Cheroot (by LFD) has negotiated another cheroot-like cigar to be sold there by none other than Pepin Garcia!

This will be available in late Spring (hopefully).

I tried a pre-release the other week and it was VERY good. It reminded me of the My Father blend with more oomph.

For those that have tried the Cheroot, this stick is almost the anti-Cheroot. The wrapper is beautiful and it glistens with oil.

Hal said it should retail for about 5 bucks a stick which is nice compared to the pricing on the Cheroot.

I'll update as I learn more.

Jamie, from what I was told, the Picador will be part of the "My Father" Line but will be exclusive to Hal and Empire Cigars.

I guess you're referring to the original My Father and not the Le Bijou 1922... that's pretty smooth to me. Smooth and Strong

I remember hearing the same thing, Lar. I asked Hal about it again and he said he didn't know the blend or wrapper. Plus, it's spicier than a regular My Father to me...
