Dry cigars

My friend has some cigars that he let in the humidor for awhile with out the propper rh. Are they lost or will they come back around?

You can bring them back, but very slowly. You should keep them in a place with stable RH and increase it slowly. If you put them in a 70RH place they could get too much too quick.

If they get too dry and stay that way too long, they just might never come back. I've smoked cigars like that, and they had no flavor and little smell, but plenty of bite. But I have also seen miracles happen where dry as a bone sticks came back to decent shape.

Like everything else cigar, you don't know until you light up - then all is revealed, and (usually) all is right with the world. That's what keeps us in this thing - it's all about the smoke.
