Well that's a Harvard law case, page 33 is the summary (don't know the fancy legalese word.) Founded in 1910 and looks to be a subsidiary (or maybe just a line of cigars) of Standard Cigar Company of Pittsburgh... not sure who founded it though or when they went out of business/were bought out/whatever.

More stuff about Goldsmith's "Dry Slitz Stogies" and a strike that happened that closed down some factories in the area. Interesting stuff.

edit: Whoops, I guess Goldsmith ran a line of knockoffs so he didn't make the cigar in the topic.

edit edit: and more stuff, I guess later they were distributed by Goldsmit (Yeah, Goldsmit - maybe he dropped the H or something) later.

Over to your left you'll see an advertisement for Dry Slitz

Alright more research than was probably required but...

The Roth Carpet Company bought the building that housed the Standard Cigar Company of Penn. which was @ 4035 Liberty Ave (it's now used as a small theater/arena I guess) not sure when though. If I had to guess the St. Patrick's Day flood in 1936 put whatever cigar companies that survived the union lockout out of business 'cause 4035 Liberty Ave is right by the river...

Interesting stuff, not what I planned on learning today at all heh. Any way, that puts your cigar somewhere between 1910 and 1936.

edit:

Surprise like most brands, I guess Dry Slitz was purchased by someone and at this point is being made in San Jose, Costa Rica by RSL Blunt Production S.A. (or for a time was)

Yup, looks like circa 1930. That's a piece of history there Ron! Let us know how it smokes when you decide it's time
