Dud Choix Supreme

Sat down on the patio tonight with a cold drink and an ERdM Choix Supreme from 2005. Box code unknown, so must have been from a trade or snagged from a box pass.

Drew well and the first 1/2 inch was twangy and spot on. Then, it went south. Couldn't stay lit and it was a chore to keep it alive. Numerous touch ups and relights just left it harsh and muddy. Even purging didn't help. Finally gave up halfway through.

RH in the drawer is right at 65% and its neighbors have smoked just fine. This rascal was just a dud. Waste of a beautiful evening. :frown:

I've had 05's that were unbelievable. Sounds like a dud indeed.

07s were bad had a cab and it was all bland.

Sounds like bad construction like a lot of stems. The couple of 09s I have been given were good.

Same exact experience for me with 3 different Choix Supremes. Does not make me want to try more at all.
