DVD to iPhone

I use a program called Cucusoft for conversion from my laptop to viewing on my iPod...

Anything that plays in iTunes should play on your iPhone. So as ling as you rip the DVD into something iTunes can play, or convert it once you ripped it, you'll be fine. Unfortunately iTunes does not have a direct import feature for DVDs.
I typically rip things with Mac the Ripper and then convert it with Handbrake. It's a two-step process but I've had better results that way.

I use Format Factory.. its not the best software out there but it has a huge list of audio/video and picture conversion options so its fairly convenient if you're like me and always have some piece of audio or video that needs conversion from one format to another. Also its free so its great!
I use handbrake and in tandem with DVD43 to restrict that meddlesome copyright stuff. Handbrake can be use on PC, MACOSX 10.5 (leopard) or higher, and Linux. DVD 43 can be used only on a PC.

I've had great results using handbreak. IMO, it's your best bet!
A movie site to look into would be zml. com. I've used the music site attached to it, legalsounds, and it's great. I have never tried the movie site, but if it's anything like the music site, it'll be great!
