Just curious if the embargo ended and Habanos SA released an RE for the United States what would you want it to be?

I'm thinking I would like a La Escepcion or Ramon Allones (retro band similar to the one used for slender ring gauge cigars until 2005) Lancero with a pig tail cap in 50 count cabs. What about you?

Love this idea. Edmundo Dantes. Same measurements and everything as you said!

They would try to "wow" the American consumer and make a Cohiba 6x60... :(
and I would cry bitter bitter tears

Edmundo Dantes... Didn't even think of that one... great idea!

until the market dictates it, forget about a RG < 50.

must be a 50 count cab for the 50 states, with 5,000 boxes made.... Cohiba Siglo VII
Thats the reason I picked a 50 cab. I know anything smaller than a 50rg is highly unlikely especially since it would be for the US market but I can dream.

Edmundo Dantes = Montecristo, it's the same marca. Trevor's website among others claims the Mexico EL releases are under Edmundo Dantes due to trademark conflicts (http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=Montecristo), but I don't really understand that. After all, ordinary Montecristo are still sold in Mexico.

Acknowledging that it would probably have to be a short, fat cigar for the American market (or a 6x60, but let's not go there), I'd like to see a Vegas Robaina petit robusto. That's been done before in France and Canada, but you could do it again. The American distributor would choose the blend--and they should let Pepin and Pete Johnson do the honors. :)
