Okay, for you guys who have been in the game long enough when the Euro had parity (or was even less) with the USD -

Will the price of Habanos get cheaper since the Euro is almost at parity with the USD, or will they mfgs raise their prices to reflect that?

Regards,
Randy

I hope prices drop. Since the US still buys 50% of the Habanos, I am not sure it will. I did just get a good deal on some MC #2 at $8 per stick on sale though.

Ive seen the price in Euro's increase... and the USD is higher than what it was before.
That's what I'm afraid of. I'm thinking if the manufacturers see inflation in the Euro, they're just going to raise the price to compensate. I'm just wondering when to 'strike while the iron's hot.'

Randy

The manufacturer (Cuba) has been raising prices steadily for the past 4-5 years. The distributors MIGHT raise the wholesale price which would cause the vendors to raise prices. Or, the vendors could do like they did in the recession and have low to no price raises just to keep customers when everyone comes out of the recession. I know some vendors were operating at low to break-even profit the past 1-2 years. The appreciation in the dollar can be seen in just about every Euro priced vendor. And it's a blessing
