I just received a very heavy (and sadly empty) Eureka Opal humidor from my father in law. It has been in the family for a very long time, but nobody seems to know much about it. I'm told my grandfather-in-law used to send it to Cuba twice a year to have it filled and returned.
Has anybody ever heard of a humidor built by Eureka Refrigerator Company in the early 1900's? Would love to hear what is known about this thing.
It's white opal glass on the outside and inside with ceramic plates in the bottom (for humidity control, I expect) and two shelves. Pictures attached.
