Just curious if any of you guys have ever regreted selling one of your gun(s)?

About 4 years ago money was very tight as I purchased a Colt Defender and decided to sell off my like new .40 cal Browning Hi Power since my .40 Glock Mod 23 was just as accurate, lighter and had more capacity. Now I kind of wish I hadn't as I really liked the feel and looks of the HP, not to mention the history. While there are some days that I regret it. I'm not too bummed out. I sold it to my best friend. He only shoots it 2 to 3 times a year and baby's it like I did. We also made an agreement that if he ever sells it. I have first chance at purchasing it back.

About 10 years ago I picked up an NIB Sig P226 at the WAC fun show, complete with several hi-cap mags. This is when the 10-round mags were in fashion and hi-caps hard to find. I paid little for it since the guy needed a quick sale and I had cash.

Fast forward about a year and a pre-ban Colt AR (the ban was still on) comes on the market in a private sale nearby. I did not have enough cash and sold the Sig. The Colt was a fabulous buy, but I have always regretted selling that Sig. It is one of several guns I let go of that I still regret. The other that stands out was a Colt Series 80 Officer's Model, which was one of the most accurate out-of-the-box pistols I ever owned. . .:shame:

colt team realtree anaconda, paid $350 for it. Blew my rear end and tranny in my blazer sold the gun for $1600, and someone bought it from the dealer before i left for $2400. Safe to say if i ever find one again it will be way too effing expensive. I have a few other remorse stories, a full stocked husqy in .30-06, savage .22 hornet that i quintupled my money on, and my smith 4006 ex mass state trooper gun

Yup, Sold an HK P7M10 w/4 mags a couple years ago. That's a fairly rare 40cal squeeze cocker with a unique gas piston retard. I sold it for $1500 and now they're out of sight. It would have yielded a better return than any savings account or other investment.

Yep, Sold one of my ARs last year, my Smith M&P 15T. Had to scare up some cash and was happy with the price, but I really wish I had that rifle back! Sold a nice little Smith 642 at the same time...must have been insane.

Yep ... still do to this day. I custom built a State Arms .50 BMG barreled receiver into bench rifle. I used a 1.5" bull barrel, with a fish gill muzzle break, mounted a Tasco Custom Shop 12x60 30mm tube scope and a hand formed, walnut, pistol grip stock. Overall rifle weighed in at 37lbs. Not a lot of fun to carry around, but a lot of fun to shoot. Still miss it to this day. If I have another chance, I'll build a clone.

Nah.

Guns come, I shoot them a while and guns go, usually at a profit.

It's a vicious cycle, I tell you. :rolling:

My heavily customized Beretta 390 Gold Sporting Edition. Tourney win when I was a kid (96 TX State Jr. Champ, if I recall correctly).

Sold it in college after I'd stopped competing... and doubt I did anything worthwhile with the cash.

Miss that gun.
