Ok so I just had an Excalibur Limited Edition. And wow what a major let down. Got 1/2 way into it. Just started to taste bitter. Any one have the same problem??? let me know. it may have been one bad cigar in the bunch.
:shame:

I have had that exact experience with the Legend. Great first third then the burn problems set in and it changes... I still buy them on occasion because that first third is really good, so I'm willing to take the risk.

Cigars are handmade and you'll experience natural variations from one cigar to the next. Best bet is to try a few more. If, after 3 or 4 you don't like that particular marca and vitola then it's probably a good bet that they are simply not for you and don't match your particular tastes. That being said, I never really enjoyed anything from that line and don't enjoy Honduran tobacco in general. I haven't had anything from the NC HdM line in a long, long time though.

Not a fan of these either. I've tried them a couple times and have had the same experience everytime.....my local says the tabacco is just more refined whatever the hell that means....Still didn't care for them.

I've smoked quite a few of the Excalibur #1 maddies and they have always been a decent smoke. Last week a friend and I each smoked one and at the half way point the flavors in the cigars turned bad for both of us. If it was one cigar I would feel better thinking it’s an anomaly and just chalk it up to a bad stick but both of us experienced the same change at the same point in the sticks. I hope this isn’t the case for the rest I have. Like a said I think it’s not a wow cigar but a decent one I like to go to occasionally. I also like the Dark Night but never had any problems with them.
