Just picked it up tuesday and have put 100 round through it. Its my first pistol and im really liking it. some of yall help me with advice when i was shoppin for one. i just wanted to let yall know what the final results where, Ill post up some pics alittle later. but im lookin for a good defense round( 9mm) ive heard hydra shock, ranger T, and the federal Expanding Full Metal Jacket were good rounds. any advice would help!

Lots, and Lots and Lots of good self defense rounds out there, kind of hard to pick a bad one honestly. I've been hearing lots of good things about the Corbon DPX rounds lately. Whatever you choose, pick one you can find for a good price and buy a bunch of it and practice with it. Obviously it won't be your regular range round, but it's good to have a good idea of how the round you will actually use if you have to reacts and how you react to it.

Haven't really looked at any of FN's pistols, but I do have one of their PBR .308 rifles. Damn thing has to go back to the manufacturer (extractor fell out during last range session and local Smith pointed out where there was a missing pin which is what has been causing my excessive trigger pull). Still trying to get someone at the factory to answer the dang phone and talk me through the return process. Here's hoping they take care of me with out a hassle. Still, all in all, I do like the rifle.

Midwest!
Tons of good ammo choices out there... DPX, Speer Gold Dot, Silvertips, Rangers, etc etc etc.
Congrats on the FNX. I had the FNP45 and I loved it when it worked, had to sell it because it became too problematic. The FNX seems to have addressed all the issues, so you've got some rockin' hardware!
