I've got CigarMonster app installed on my iPhone, and get the mashup notifications, and have bought from Famous Smoke before... but I have only ever bought the name brand stuff.... I notice a lot of their "deals" are on their banded stuff... Are any of them any good?

I've always said cigars are subjective, and just because it's expensive doesn't make it good, and just because its no-namer doesn't make it bad.

If anyone can chime in here, I'd appreciate it... and let me ask the question this way...........

If you like any of the house brand stuff from famous, can you explain why... or what you might compare it to (name brand) that you might smoke on a regular basis...? That will give us all a decent comparison.

MANY THANKS.

The Famous Nic 7000's are made by pepin and are pretty close to his Cuban classics. I smoke those like crazy.

The Nicaraguan 3000 is very good to me. If you like them they age rather well too, that is if you can hang onto this bargain.

One of the Dominicans is made by PDR, and it tastes like their "Classico." I used all mine as "moochers."

I think it was the 3000? Can't find it.

I really like the Nicaraguan 3000. Even better than the 3000 were the Nicaraguan Sungrown, especially the lonsdale.

Why in the hell they decided to discontinue the Sungrowns I'll never know!

It's one of these... Don't ask me which cause I have no idea.. But, for the money, they're exceptional cigars.

The Famous VSL(Virgin sun grown ligero)!!!!!! Buy em and set em down for 6 months to a year. They're made by Pdr and you can grab em every once in a while at like 2.50 a stick!

Of their house and 'exclusive' that I've tried:
Very good:
Nic 3K - Toro espcially
Capoeira - Tremendous value
RP Cuban Blend Maduro - one of the only RP's I still enjoy - maybe they're aged somewhat because the quality hasn't taken a dive like I feel other RP's have

Good:
Private Selection Nic Corojo Corona - discontinued?
70th Placencia

Pass:
Final Blend
Foridita
Campina
Aspira

I had a decent experience with the Imperial Churchill by Gran Habano for Famous Smoke...Let them rest for about 3 months though, and they chill right out! You can get a bundle for ~$30 I believe. My wife bought them for me (hey she tried right?) and they were ehh at first...but after 3-4 month in the humi their flavor changed and it was smooth, nice pepper....great any time cigar! SO it wasn't a bust after all :D

I was blown away by the Garcia Family Signature line robusto I had. I grabbed it thinking I was in the mood for something cheap and easy, and it was one of the better smokes I'd had in awhile. If they were available by the box, I'd be all over them.
