Father-in law passed this Sunday

Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers in my previous post but I’m sad to say my wife’s dad passed Sunday around 2:00 pm. We knew it was coming sometime this year but this was very sudden. The doctors were even on the phone with my wife’s mother Sunday morning discussing plans for his care when he comes home. Then around noontime she got a call while she was waiting for a ride to the hospital that he was failing and she should come as soon as possible. She missed him by about 15-20 minutes. My wife and two girls were out Sunday afternoon and I had to break the news to them when they came home. They were very close to him and devastated. My 10 year old Kimmi took it especially hard and it basically ripped my heart from my chest.
Now we are doing the mad scramble to get up to PA for the services.
Once again thanks for all the prayers. It was comforting to my wife knowing he was in the thoughts and prayers of more friends.

My sincere condolences my friend. Had the same situation with my mom years ago. It's strange, but sometimes we feel better knowing that the pain is over and they are in a wonderful place.

God Bless him for being the man he was and your family for having the strength to get through this time.

Wow, i am really sorry to hear this, it is always tuff losing someone, especially someone close. I lost both my grandfathers when i was young, i was close to both, and it was really tuff, still today i think about them often. But i know they are heaven smiling down upon me.
