Feedback on 12btl Vinotemp

Hey guys,
I found a really good deal on a used 12 bottle Vino temp and need to get some feed back on these units. I read a lot of reviews on Amazon saying that these typically break after about a year or two...can anyone attest to that? I thought they had a good reputation until I saw these reviews...

That is a good deal however I found the 12 bottle vinotemp for $60 locally. I was just concerned after reading a lot of bad reviews on Amazon but it seems everyone on here doesnt have any issues with them.

Alright, well I picked it up. $60 bucks in perfect working order. Even has the wood shelves. Im not sure If ill keep them though. Anyways, does anyone think that 1 pound of beads is overkill for a 12 Bottle?
