I think I have mentioned in the past, I have severe carpal tunnel problems. I have been trying to get this covered by Workman's comp. for four months. Finally last night I got approved. Now, I can call and schedule the surgery, hopefully, for this next week and get this over with. This has been one of the reasons I am up at this hour, can't sleep and being so tired at the end of the day go to bed early. I am so tired of this and sure hope the surgery fixes the problem.

Brother I've had mine done twice on both hands. You will feel so much better when it's done. Just be sure to do what the therapist says afterwards. I have degenerate joint desease also (among other issues) so I thought it would make my wrist worse but so far the surgeries seemed to have made it feel better too! I'm sure you'll be relieved....Good luck!!

Thanks guys. I am hoping to feel much better just after surgery. As far as the type of procedure; I just know an incision is made at base of palm near wrist. Mine is very severe and I hope it turns out good.

good to hear work comp got approved. surgery will definately help, my mom got had it done a couple of years back. Her pain was so bad it was like she had no hands. Do what the therapist tells you and try to see what ergonomic options are available for your work. Good luck and get well soon
