If you goto CompUsa or any other computer store and buy a 1 Gigabyte USB flash drive, you can download the Firefox web browser onto it and take all of your bookmarks and passwords with you anywhere you go.
On your home machine, make sure you are logged in as administrator and download the portable Firefox browser from http://portableapps.com/apps.
Plug in the USB flash drive.
Run the exe. file and direct the install wizard to the new drive, (USB drive).
Click on the Firefox file and then on the little red and orange icon. Firefox will then ask if you want to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer.
It will then launch the Firefox web browser. Goto Google.com and look for Firefox plug-ins/ add ons. Add flash, shockwave.
After that, you can go anywhere and plug in the USB drive and launch the browser and have all of your book marks and passwords. When you disconnect the drive, there will be NO traces of your browsing history on the computer that you used.
I should say that it is PC only. This will even work on company laptops that are locked down so the user has no administrative rights.
You can also customize the browser just like you can with the desktop program.
Have fun!
P.S. Posting this from the front porch on the girlfriends company laptop, smoking a Rocky Patel, and drinking Famous Grouse Scotch Whisky.
