first cigar bar visit

Only one in town and I finally paid a visit. I had a choice of four nine dollar offerings along with a selection of subpar beers. I chose a la Gloria Cubana. It was mushy when brought out so I wasn't pleased. Went ahead and lit it which took forever.

Right now I'm halfway through the worst cigar I've ever had. It has no flavor at all and tastes like someone left it in their car for six months.

Don't think I will be back after I force this and their nasty beer down.

Anyone else have bad cigar bar experiences to share?

I would not have accepted the stick and walked out. Life is too short to waste an hour TRYING to smoke a cigar.

There was no meal offered at this place. Although that seems like a blessing because I'm sure that would have sucked too.

Yeah, I shoulda walked out, but the woman was already into her bloody mary and I was trying to make her happy.

absolutely sucks and am sorry for your experience. if it is their business, it is their job to know WTF they are doing. was the service at least acceptable?

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. Once I was in a cigar bar in Tokyo. It was pouring outside. I walked in the door and the guys dropped to a knee, bowing heads as they opened the door to the humidor for me - wet clothes, shoes and all. I had one cigar there while waiting for a friend, then talked him into immediately leaving for another place on the total opposite side of town (where he just came from).
