Hey guys!
My name is Mark. I've been smoking cigars for only a few months now, but it has become a bit of an obsession already. I initially started smoking cigars as a replacement for cigarettes. I quit smoking, which I'm glad I did, but still wanted that "me" time on the porch with a drink and a book and some sort of oral fixation.
My first cigar was an Oliva Connecticut, suggested by my local B&M owner. I think it was a good suggestion, as it allowed me to enter the world of cigars with something mild and flavorful and not overwhelming to a newbie. I've since moved on, and prefer more full flavored cigars, usually Nicaraguan in origin. I've yet to try a CC, but need to learn more before I place that first order.
I work as a strength coach and personal trainer in Peoria, AZ, which is really just one small part of the huge sprawl that is Phoenix. My clientele ranges from the housewife wanting to drop some pounds and get "toned," to athletes looking to improve performance in their sport. Of the two, I usually prefer working with the athletes, but fat people help pay the bills.
I made my way here from another board. I enjoy the board, but after a couple of long-term and respected members got banned there for nothing more than stating an opinion on a subject that was personal to them, I started rethinking how much time I wanted to spend in a place that was moderated by people with such a tight-assed sense of doing their jobs.
Anyways...that's me....glad to be here, and hope to learn more about you guys and from you guys.
