Leaving for NYC in only three days. Need some recommendations for stuff in Manhattan (not Brooklyn or Queens)

1) Best Pizza
2) Best Burger (already been to PJ Clarke's and Burger Joint)
3) Best Steak
4) Best Bagel
5) Touristy or historical places. Last time I was there I w a lot of cool stuff. This time, I know I want to see Columbus Park (formerly the Five Points).

1) Best Pizza - Brooklyn - DiFara's(Need a car or rental but worth it), NYC - Original Patsy's in Harlem 118th and 1st <---accessible by subway
2) Best Burger - Gotta try a Shake Shack if you haven't, JG Melon is really good also
3) Best Steak - Wolfgang's hands down. Get the fat bacon. Also convenient since it is by Cigar Inn Midtown. Stuff your face, and burn a few off with the short walk and light up a Padron.
4) Best Bagel - You can get decent bagels anywhere really. Pick-A-Bagel is a well known spot with many locations but H&H on 2nd Ave and 81st is my favorite
5) Touristy places - You can literally wake up and figure out what you feel like doing depending on the weather. If it is raining, which it is supposed to this week, hit up one of the many museums. 9/11 Museum if you haven't. I hate going down there when people come into town and they want to go. I well up in tears every time and get angry at the people taking pictures but that is the NY'r in me. Well done museum. Just brings back terrible memories.

If the weather is nice, the Highline is a nice walk. You can also aimlessly walk around downtown around West 4th St. and see some beautiful old residential buildings.

Another cool spot is Top of the Rock. Beautiful view of the city.

Cigar related, I want to check out Knickerbocker Hotel's rooftop cigar lounge really bad. Wicket was up there recently on his trip to NY. Looked awesome.

1) Best Pizza - hop on a train and go to New Haven.

2) shake shack has really good burgers. A place called 5 Napkins has out of this world burgers.

3) I like Sparks. A lot. Plus there were some Mobsters killed there a long time ago. Nice bit of NYC history for you. It's a real old-timey place with phenomenal meat. Another cool place is Peter Luger. Really old school and they only take cash, but it's an experience. Both are a bit spendy, so be prepared.

4) no idea. I'm not real picky.

5) top of the Rock is fun. Ice skating at Rockefeller center and looking at the tree is nice this time of year. The Met is always interesting. I like to hit up wall St and battery park when the weather is nice. Stop by Trinity a church and see Hamilton's grave. (Plus there's a great Guinness Brunch place on Stone Street). Central Park if you haven't been there is pretty cool to see.

I also never pass up a chance to go to Nat Sherman's, just check the hours as they close somewhat early (7pm I think).

Have fun!

I really wanted to take a tour of NBC Studios to see the SNL stage, but unfortunately the tour sold out. If anyone has a hook up at NBC please let me know.

1. pizza lots of good choices but like CKay and atbat said out of Manhattan has some of the best. I enjoy John's of Times Square pizza is good and it's in this old church so +1 for atmosphere.
2. I just can't get on board with shake shack. Been a few times and think it's just okay but others love it. I'd pick burger joint in the Meridien or Flip in the basement of Bloomingdales.
3. I side with atbat on Sparks and Peter Luger.
4. Good bagels all over. To be honest I don't eat them as often as I should in NYC so can't make a recommendation.
5. 9/11 Museum should be on every list. Very emotional but worth it. I hit the museum of art and design last time and enjoyed it. At this time of year I like to walk around union square christmas market. Highline depending on weather and check the Christmas stuff out on 5th ave. the list could go on and on with things to see/do in NYC.

Nat Sherman's is open until 7pm if you buy a stick from them and visit carnage club the same night they don't charge a cut fee with proof of purchase. Knickerbocker is one of the best public smoking views in NYC for a cigar and you can smoke your own free. I also like to visit Paley park if the weather is nice. One of the few parks that welcome cigars. Sam Paley founded La Palina if the name didn't ring a bell.

I went to Burger Joint last time, and wasn't that impressed. I really like PJ Clarke's. How about Corner Bistro? I would prefer not to leave Manhattan as I don't know Brooklyn well.

John's is great. If you can't make it to Luger then hit up Wolfgangs. Creator of Wolfgangs worked and stole everything from Luger.

I love Luger but Wolfgangs is the same. Get the bacon!!

Sorry I missed this but hope you had a great time, brother. If you ever make it back to the city
Patzeria's on 48th St. will make you forget about John's pizza, I promise you. We always bring a soft cooler and zip lock bags to bring one of their pies home and absolutely one the best cannoli's on the planet.
The Perfect Pint on 45th(I think) is an Irish/ English pub with some of the best food in the city at great prices. Burgers, fish and chips.....
Of course, JMHO....
