Please say a prayer for the families and loved ones of the crew and all soldiers on board our Chinook that crashed last week. "Extortion 17" went down under what we believe to have been hostile fire in the Tangi valley while infilling a team of Navy Seals to support the Rangers who were already on the ground from a previous infill to the same location. All souls on board perished. We held the memorial for our crews today. Two of the crew members were Colorado National Guard, and the other three were Kansas National Guard. I spent close to 8 hours overhead immediately following the crash, and recovery efforts are still ongoing. It's been a rough week for our Taskforce...

I just read the Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. After reading that book and seeing what just happened over the weekend saddens me, but I know one thing our troops are some brave boy's.
