Yeah, was looking at some wax seals, too. I love the idea of sending the handwritten notes to my department as well.I don't but my dad semi-does. He has about 30 or so with his centerpiece being a Montblanc Chinese Jade Limited Edition. It was a gift but thankfully will be coming to me! When I get that, it may be the top of the slope!
I prefer roller balls and have about 10 decently nice ones. I love a handwritten note and send them to my team for recognition. Also use a wax seal with my family crest ring! Love stuff like that.
Those are all gorgeous!Unfortunately this is another of my vices. I only have 4 but all are special to me.
First up is a Limited Edition Delta made in Italy. I fell in love with the color on this pen and had to have it. Writes beautifully.

Next is the German made Pelikan M1000 in Green Stripe. Medium Nib adjusted by Richard Binder. Another great writer.

Next up is an Edison Limited Edition. Again an excellent writer.

Finally I have an old Esterbrook. This is the exactly like the one I used as a senior in high school back in 1968 to write my term paper for English. Fond memories.

It's funny, those are the exact two I was trying to decide upon. Went with the Pilot for the main reason that it's a metal body. When I told a friend of mine about it (he's more into pens than most of us are into cigars), he laughed and said, "yeah, a lot of beginners go for the metal body."I have gone through quite a few entry level fountain pens. I still haven't moved on to higher end pens because I found two (below) that I am in love with. Plus, when I think about purchasing a higher end pen, I end up spending the money on cigars/scotch/bourbon instead.
If anyone is looking at getting into the fountain pen world, I would highly recommend the two I'm currently using. I've used them for the last year with zero issues.
- Black Pilot Metropolitan with a medium nib
- Charcoal Lamy Safari with a fine nib

These pens are INCREDIBLE for the price! Maybe one day I'll graduate to a more traditional pen but until then, I'm super happy with these.
