Dear Afcionados...
I am a writer and satirist with an international weblog, as well as a neophyte about cigars, still learning. Quit cigarettes 30 odd years ago. About five years ago I visited a friend at a cigar shoppe and enjoyed the fragrances and cigar smokers, when it was allowed to smoke there, and took up the fine habit.
But the fact is I am generally impecunious after paying such ridiculous taxes on cigars in Ontario, Canada.
Lately I have been smoking box-pressed CAO Maduro (not Cuban). But not bad. And El Rico which is even more full-bodied. I just finished a Padron 1964 Anniversary box-pressed Maduro Corona, which a friend sent to me with four other Padron Maduros. Fine fellow. Fine cigar.
And everytime I smoke a Cuban, usually gifts, such as Cohiba maduros, I spit after each puff and talk to myself. Take that Castro!
A friend has a condo in Cuba, knows Raul, or has met him once or twice, and keeps inviting me. Love Cuban music but never been there and it's not on my list until... I won't go into politics.
