Frustrated!

My dad just called me because he was on his way to Alabama and was crossing through Charlotte. He NEVER comes by and visits. He called saying he stopped by the Bass Pro nearby and talked to the gun salesman and asked him if anywhere sold Kimbers (knowing the models I'm interested in getting). The salesman gave him the name of a great place so my dad called me to see if I could dip out of work to check it out saying, "Why don't you leave work for a bit and maybe we can get you that Kimber you're looking for"

Unfortunately I'm slammed with work and can't get away. He countered with trying again on the way back through but I'll be in Chicago this weekend.

DAMN IT! My dad basically offered to buy me the 1911 I've been drooling over (or at least pitch in a hefty amount) and I missed my chance! Opportunities like this from him are slim. I'm so annoyed right now...

I may have worked it out so I can be back in Charlotte Sunday night and I'll catch my Dad passing through on his way back. He can spend the night then hang out for a bit on Labor day. I doubt anything will be open but we need some good old fashioned quality time anyway. Although, I hate going shooting with my dad because he out shoots me with his eyes closed and loves rubbing it in... I guess that's probably all dads though :sarcastic

Lmao! My Dad spends his range time zeroing in his optics and fidgeting with his green laser, while I empty mags on evil pumpkins, gourds, and paper targets through iron sights. His AR is a conversation piece, mine just gets the job done. Good luck on that Kimber. And enjoy the time with your Padre.
