Interesting. for some reason, IMO, the hemingways seem to be the best in their natural state so to speak (cammy wrapper). I've tried the ss, sig, classic, untold story, masterpiece in maduro, the sig and classic in rosado and sun grown. the only one I preferred not in cameroon was the masterpiece in maduro. All the others, I tend to prefer in natural. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this one as the best seller is my favorite of the hemingways. G1

I've yet to have a bad hemi maduro. I'm with G1 in terms of enjoying the cameroon wrapper a little more, but I always try to have a few of the maduros on hand.

For the most part, Fuente usually does quite a bit of testing before releasing any product so as far as established lines go, IMO, the original configurations are the best ie, I've seen Don Carlos with maduro wrappers, Opus with maduro wrappers etc. The DC are perfect the way they are, and Opus was and is opus because of their rosado wrapper.

Experimentation is great but when you actually smoke the variations, I always come back with the thought of "nice change but not as good as the regular line". Thats one thing I love about Padron. They haven't messed with their "recipe's" so when you grab an Exclusivo, you know what profile you're going to get. Why mess with perfection right?

Now age is a different story, if Fuente were to release some aged Opus, that would be fantastic and possibly what the current forbidden series is. G1
