I will defer as well. Nicotine rarely affects me because I generally smoke on a full stomach and almost never have more than a couple cigars in one day.

Juan Lopez, ERdM, RyJ, and San Cristobal are brands that I think of as flavorful but not real strong, but this is just my opinion. I too am not horribly affected by nicotine content. Partagas shorts is probably one of the strongest cigars out there IMO, which seems odd considering it's size.

I would not consider the brands I have listed as full-flavor, but some of the vitolas are quite tasty, and not real strong. Try the RyJ short churchhills.

But not the RyJ Cazadores. Also in the RyJ line, the Ex 4, especially in a Cab, ESPECIALLY aged for 5 or so years. That can be one amazing smoke.

Someone else will have to comment on the nicotine content, but a good Boli PC or Boli Tubo No. 2 aged for 5-6 years can also be kick-ass full flavor.

I'd consider boli pc on the higher end of the nicotine spectrum, but I've never smoked a tubo. Jason, I was just making a broad generalization. There are definitely exceptions to my statement. I was trying to guide him to a brand as opposed to a specific cigar until I edited my post of course. Dude, we still need to get together sometime. Maybe we can meet up at the hard rock and play cards sometime. There is a fantastic deep stack tournament on the last saturady of every month up there.

I think the ERDM CS is a tasty, relatively low-nicotine cigar.

It's a good size (5x48), has a nice draw, is very smooth and pleasant, and has that CC twangy flavor but without massive buttkicking power. It's a great mid-day smoke, or a great first-smoke if you're going to burn a couple sticks in a row.

James, this is a tough one. I am not much affected by nicotine either. I find that there is often a direct correlation between strength and full flavor, but not always. The Juan Lopez Seleccion #1, SLR Series A and RG Lonsdale will probably meet your requirement as long as they have a few years on them. Ditto for the Diplomaticos #2, which must have about 5 years. There are lots of full flavored smokes, but you will certainly take a good nicotine hit from most of them.

Seeing as how I am a nicotine wuss this seems right up my alley.

IMO the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo series in general are quite full flavored/bodied and rarely make me nauseous...specifically good are the du Roi, du Prince, and Des Deuix.

I also find all Juan Lopez cigars very flavorful and have never felt ill from them. Aged Seleccion #1s are probably the best in the line.

Also, as Fox mentioned, in addition to the #1 the SLR A and Raphael Gonzalez Lonsdale are quite flavorful with out any nicotine side effects.

Surprisingly, the Cohiba Siglo III and IV can be quite mild in nicotine content once aged a little.

Hmmm, I guess that is about it. In general though I have found, as far as nicotine and negative effects from it go, the older the cigar the better off you are. Of course there are exceptions to this but in general it holds true across most marcas (brands).

Hope this helps.

Since this is in the habanos section, I'm assuming you only want suggestions of cigars from Cuba. That being the case, you are avoiding a huge number of other cigars that fit your category ... but I digress.

I'm also somewhat sensitive to nicotine levels and find that many habanos are too strong for my liking. Although the following have varying levels of flavor, I have found the nicotine content is tolerable:

Cohiba CE, Siglo series
ERdM Choix Supreme, PC
Fonseca #1
Hoyo Epicure #1 / #2, Petite Robusto
H. Upmann Coronas Major / Minor, PC
Juan Lopez Seleccion #1 / #2, PC
La Gloria Cubana MdO series
Por Larranaga Lonsdale, PC
Quai d Orsay Corona
Ramone Allones Mille Fleurs
Punch Black Prince
Rafael Gonzales Lonsdale, PC
SLR Serie A
San Cristobal El Principe
Trinidad Reyes

Since you didnt specify, one of my favorite full of flavor NC's without the nic bang is Pryme by Alec Bradly. Also Cuesta Rey Centro FIno Sun Grown is a wonderful cigar in the morning.

You know, the older you get, the more stuff you miss. Didnt se that it was in the Habanos forum. Still like the Prymes. FOr CC the HDM #2, mellow, smooth and flavor.

I'll have to leave this to others as I'm rarely affected by nicotine content. I guess that comes from all of the years smoking cigs.
I smoked two - three packs of cigs a day for approx. 30 years. The last five or six years I smoked pipes as well, and then finally quit cigs entirely 2 years ago in favor of pipes. I took up cigars on a fairly regular basis about a year ago.

I smoke about 8-12 bowls a day on average, some of which are very strong pipe tobaccos. Among my favorites are G&H and Sam Gawith ropes, which are the kind of tobaccos that turn even some experienced pipe smokers green; yet I can smoke bowl after bowl after bowl. I don't feel cigarettes at all, no matter how many I smoke, and strong pipe tobacco just gives me a pleasant relaxed feeling.

But very strong cigars in the larger sizes sometimes give me sweats, a bit of "wooziness" and palpatations. :dunno: I can handle them if I prepare and take it easy, but I'd like to have some milder smokes so that I don't have to worry about it, and that I can give to friends who don't normally smoke.

I will take all recommendations.

Thank you all for the suggestions!

I tend to only have a problem with larger strong cigars, and not all of those. A Party lonsdale I had a while back, though it had 7 years of age on it, kicked my butt.

Of course, there are probably many variables that affect this. Food and hydration, mood, health, etc.

But once again, why I have this problem only with cigars and not other forms of tobacco is a mystery to me.

Oh, and Mike, I used to chew as well. Back in 4th and 5th grade I always had a can of Copenhagen in my back pocket, including at school. We kids weren't allowed to smoke but no one cared if we chewed as long as we didn't spit on school property. So, we didn't spit.
