Taking my wife and daughter on a 3 day trip to Gatlinburg TN. I full plan on waking up and drinking coffee and smoking a cigar and smoking a cigar late at night. I am planning on bring cigars with me so i have what i know i like. But I always like to visit local tobacconists when I travel. Anyone know some that i should try to visit while we are down there?

Can't help you with shops. But, Gatlinburg is a lot of fun! First place I tried indoor sky-diving, it's worth checking it out if you never have gone.

Depends if you are wanting to drive. Most of the shops in Gatlinburg have high overhead prices because it is a tourist town. If you take a trip to Knoxville let me know. There are 3 nice shops in Knoxville that I know about.

THe Gatlinburlier has a decent selection and a small walk in. If you are into pipes, there tobacco and pipe selection is top notch. I myself have no knowledge of pipe tobacco, but the guys there are super friendly and very knowledgable. It is located in the mall on the parkway.

Sounds good, I probably won't have much time to go to the shops in Knox but i think ill definitely will go to the Gatlinburlier. I'm not overly concerned with prices as I'm going to bring most of my cigars but if i saw something that caught my eye i'll pick it up. I would definitely enjoy just checking out their shop and talking to them. Maybe pick up a few sticks.

Possibly though i might stop by one of the Knox shops on the way home. Are any of them open on sundays?

This is why I love this site. I get to know about all kinds of good info. I am getting married in Gatlinburge Oct 28, so I will have to check out Knox when I am traveling home. What three shops should I check out?

Update: Had a great trip to Gatlinburg with my wife and daughter. On the way there we stopped at both Leaf and Ale and also Silo Cigars. Picked up some Cabiquan petites from Leaf and Ale which were great. And at Silo i got a Joya de Nicaragua and a Tatuaje Petite Cazadores. Decided to stop by again on the way home and take a look around again at their selection. Silo had a great selection of boutique brands. This trip i ended up picking five cigars including Curivari reserva limitada, La Reloba selecion mexico and Habano, a Viaje, and PDR Capa Oscuro Lancero. Ended up talking to the guy working there for a while. Was a really nice guy and suggested i hang out and have a smoke but unfortunately we had to get on our way home. I thoroughly enjoyed stopping at both of these shops and next time i'm in the area i will be stopping in for a smoke.
