Been lurking for a week or so..just checking out all the different threads.. I like what you guys have put together here.:thumbsup:
A couple things about myself-
Just getting back into cigars after a few years (small kids and such).
Been smoking since '96. Started out with Punch ChateauL, moved to A. Fuente Canones. Sampled a whole bunch the first 4 or 5 years...actuall now that i try to remember the stuff we smoked, the only thing that comes to mind is a rule of thumb that we developed.."if it smells like a turd, it'll probably smoke like one".:nono:I tell ya, poor college students w/ very limited funds..we tried a lot a chep, crappy smokes trying to find that "diamond in the rough". Tried a lot of high $ smokes too, just to compare. Found that just because it's a $20 smoke doesn't mean it's any better than a good $5 one. Looking back I think we also discovered a lot of brands sell the same blends under a different name that are much cheaper but are pretty much the same smoke...go figure..
But anyway, i'm rambling.
Right now I'm picking up where i left off...Excalibur 1066 Lancelot.
Nice, long, smooth, very enjoyable -with a really hoppy beer..mmmmmmm.
