Geminids and cigars

The meteor shower is tonight and we have nice clear skies. Guess I'll bundle up, light a cigar, make a cup of espresso and enjoy the show!

How was the view there? We rode down to the sandbar with a couple sticks and a growler full of coffee.. had a great view, couldn't catch anything on my crappy phone's camera though.

I had "muddy" skies and high clouds. I had good views around 2 am and again around 3:30. Didn't spend as much time viewing as I would have liked, it was cold and I couldn't keep my eyes open. Glad you got out, it's hard catching viewable pictures of meteors on a camera.
