Gift from my boss

So, my boss calls me the other day to ask where he could go to get good cigars. I gave him a couple places (we're blessed here in southern Kansas City). He's the kind of big-wheelin' and dealin' kind of businessman, so I figured he was trying to get something for a potential client (we staff more than 15 ERs in the metro area).

Fast-forward to 2 days ago when we decided to meet up for a cigar and some Balvenie Doublewood at the Outlaw.

He walks in and hands me a package of the CRA Sampler #2. Dude - was I blown away. Needless to say, all I could do was stammer and gush on about how cool this was. All he could ask was if it was anything I would smoke?!?

Turns out he went to Outlaw and explained his situation. Somehow, he got hooked up with the sampler - couldn't have asked for a better gift.

I brought the Balvenie Doublewood and also got him a Davidoff Maduro to smoke while we were there.

It was a most enjoyable 2 hours. In fact, SuperKrishna joined us while we were there. Too bad we each had to drive ourselves home...

I was shocked. I know that he's had the occasional cigar - turns out he smoked pipes for many years - but that was a long time ago.

Still a bit surprised by the whole thing. Maybe this is his way of making sure I don't leave the group...
