Here is a chance to post what you are thankful for this year.

Mine.

First off Thank God for it all.
2nd I am thankful for my freedom and for those who protect my freedom.
Third I am thankful for my family and the laughs they bring me.

and the rest

My brothers here who have supported me, and prayed for me during the past 8 months I have been unemployed. Thank You.

My church who has helped me through some of the tight months this past year. Thank you.

My wife, for believing in me, when I lost all confidence. Thank you.

To Hdroadglide, gibbleguts, hendy, and countless others who have destoyed multiple mailboxes and made my day bright even when it may have been cloudy before. Thank you.

For me.
I thank God for all he has done for us. Life has been crazy and changed a lot in the last year but we still have all we need, not just what we want.
I am thankful for an amazing wife who supports me everyday expecially in school.
I have a great bunch of friends here who have been great support for all the rough times I have had in the past year.
I am thankful for the chance to finish my degree at an top notch christian college. I even thank the Goverment for paying for most of it so far.
and last of all the people who are serving and served in the armed forces. Without them we would not have any freedoms we have today!

Sweet Thread!

I'm thankful, first and foremose, for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for my salvation through Him. I do my best not to forget how he suffered, bled and died for me. I would be a mess without Him (not to mention looking at a horrible fate)!

Second only to God is my Wife, Ashley. I have had to make some big changes to be with her, but it's all worth it at the end of most days lol.

Third, for my church family. Some may relate this to God, but to me they're very different. I am encouraged daily by my church family and held accountable.

Fourth, I am thankful for BOTL. I am not trying to be cliche or tacky, I have found some genuine friends on here, and the BOTL/SOTL are an exceptional group of individuals!

I am thankful for my job. Not only do I enjoy my job, I enjoy a fairly decent salary for this area and I would not be able to pay my bills without it.

I am thankful that we won the bid on our house, and I thank God for the opportunity!

I am thankful for the often overlooked blessings such as a guaranteed meal three times a day (often more, and often too much), consistantly clean water, a beautiful house, awesome clothes, a wonderfully running vehicle, and a little extra cash to feed my cigar hobby.

I give all of the thanks and honor to God!

Being a single father that is the custodial parent of my girls, I am thankful when they are here, well 99 percent of the time (as I fought long and hard for this right). I do enjoy the 4 days out of the month where they are at their mothers. My oldest (14) who is here this week I'm am thankful for, even though it is freak'n trying at times as she is much better as an only child (seriously), thus this is why she is here right now as I had to pull her from her mother who was leaving her all alone overnight and she is staying with my parents. But that is a looong story. I always enjoy Thanksgiving as it gives me the opportunity to discuss with my girls what we need to be thankful for that we take for granted everyday.

I am thankful for this board as I have gotten to meet some great brothers, this comes in handy on those 4 nights a month :stretchgr

I am thankful I have a job.

There really is so much to list that we don't think about on a daily basis

My girlfriend, who is a much better parent than I am at times. She has the ability to stay focused and level when I want to crack some skulls. I look forward to that day I can call her my wife.

Thanks guys - Hope everyone has a blessed and reflective Thanksgiving. :ccowboy:

smoke some good ones.

I'm thankful for my health, which continues to fight a continuous uphill battle against diabetes.
I'm thankful for my healthy, beautiful, and sometimes pain-in-the-ass 11 year old daughter.
I'm thankful for my beautiful wife who's stood by my side and dealt with my shortcomings & eccentricities with tact & patience.
I'm thankful for my job which respects my work, my ethic, and puts food on the table for my family.
I'm thankful for those serving and who've served our country, regardless of religion, color, orientation, or political affiliation.

I'm thankful for cigars, for without which I wouldn't have found a great community like this one.

Enjoy Thanksgiving, gents. (And ladies.)

*Thankful for my loved ones and family––they've been immeasurably supportive during a year that's been somewhat difficult for me.
*Thankful that I joined this forum and all the things I've learned so far.
*Thankful for some perspective I've gained.
*Thankful for something that's been dear to me for a long time but which I'll keep to myself for now.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.... :cbig:

Thank you for this thread. I am in tears thinking of all that I am greatful for.
I found a church that has helped me find God again. I have a fantastic family that I am getting in touch with again. I am a Grandfather who would have thought I could be a grandpa. Even though the economy is bad, I still have a place to go to that allows me to support my family.
I too am very grateful to the people on this board. I hope to meet more of you in the future.

I am thankfull foremost for my friends and family, that put up to me day to day, this includes my BOTL's/SOTL's.

Second it the men and women that serve this country, not matter what, they are the to defend freedom, and take care of our homefront regardless.

Finally, my thanks goes to those that can give thanks only, I have a roof over my head and a job, there are many that do not have such things, for those I offer my table, and my blessing.

I am thankful for everyday I have and the people whether online or in person I get to spend it with.
I am thankful that my brother will be coming home earlier from the sandbox then expected and in one piece.
Selfishly I am thankful for the fact that they are serving pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. It won't be the same without friends and family around the table and the televised football games with arguments, and the over eating induced napping in front of the TV, and then the mad dash on Friday morning with all the other crazy people but at least I will have pumpkin pie.

Although I'm not used to celebrate this day, from where I stand that is no impediment to be grateful for one's privileges; like:

- For a supporting and understanding family, gal and mates, regardless of the bumpy road that arises at times.
- For being able to lead a healthy life.
- For getting in the college I wanted studying what I want.
- For knowing I have all of those things.
- For this place that has given me so much.
