I'm almost done smoking this cigar now, IMO overrated and overpriced. It's probably the worst cigar I've smoke with a price tag of over $15. To each his own right? This one isn't for me.
I was excited to try this cigar, and got a great deal on several premiums from a brother here(thanks!!!), but this cigar was not good enough for the normal price. I wouldn't even pay over $4 for this cigar. One dimensional, bland and dull.

That's my take anyway.

Wow, that sucks to hear. I've had some really good Carlito GOF, I do prefer the Cameroon wrapper to the Don Carlos' Ecuadorian. What was the year on it.

Surprised, I'm going to smoke one tonight since you've got thinking about it. Yeah 2006, if I paid attention I would have seen that in the title.

Hope mine smokes better.

Wow! I was actually on the total other side with that stick. the robu is even in my top 5 favorites of all time. I guess different smoke for different folks...sorry it treated ya wrong! Especially at that tag! Try the robu if u ever get the chance...would love to hear if ya liked that one better or not!

Damn, all I've got left is a 2000 Don Carlos robusto. It'll have to do.

I do have a 2005 rob. I'll try it another day and hope it's better.

I tend to think that sometimes you get bad tasting tobacco leaves in cigars. Tobacco is grown like fruit. Sometimes you just get a bad tasting orange or apple. Same with tobacco. Try one from a different box. Just my two cents.

After smoking mostly CC's and Nic tobacco almost all Dominican tobacco seems flat/one dimensional to me. There was a time I loved Dom tobacco but that time has passed for now, maybe it will return someday.

I totaly agree on this cigar being way over priced. There are alot of great smokes for a hell of a lot less I'd smoke first. That being said I did enjoy the GOF I had very much but just couldn't see how it warrents it's price tag.
