The wife and I are heading to Puerto Vallarta in a couple weeks to get out of this winter hell-hole for a while. We'll be staying in the city, but on the beach, so we're looking forward to the location!

Any recommended restaurants or places of interest fellas?

Google images for Chico's paradise. That's a fun spot, you need to go. Cool little natural water-slide with a 15 foot drop at the end. good hiking up the river with a ton of iguanas to look at. and if you stumble on some nude sunbathers, have your camera ready. Oh yeah and they have food and drinks over looking it all.

There is a restaurant at the top of a VERY steep street, that had the best Fettucini Crab Alfredo. I'll try to find the name, but that might be enough for a CABBY TO FIND IT.

Dude, wife and I had an amazing honeymoon there.
Have a hotel yet?
Yes, we do, but would still like to hear about your experience. Can PM if you prefer.

I hear there are many good places to eat there and the wife and I LOVE Mexican food. We shouldn't be short on options I wouldn't think. Mmmm, breakfast tacos...barbacoa...fresh pico and guac...getting hungry....

Well, can't really help you with food options. We stayed at a great all-inclusive.
We ate at 2 places outside of our resort; some random Mexican place...was good. And the worst(seriously) hooters ever. Terrible food and well so was the rest. Even my wife was cracking up at how bad it/they were.

But I highly recommend 2 activities:
-atv tour. A few hours, goes thru dessert, jungle, river, and stops at a tequila factory for a tasting and tour. Well worth it.
-zip line tour thru the jungle. Was fun, and not as crazy as it might sound.

There are 2 cigar places that I know of. The Puerta Vallarta Cigar Factory that makes and sells their own, and The Fat Cat that has a small high-end (I've heard) humidor.

It is a great place! There is a Casa De La Habana there and a great little Cuban Restraunt right on the beach front that has a humidor stocked full of cigars, good Cuban rum, and an awesome view of the sunset.

I stayed at Paradise Village a few years back. Wish I could remember the name but definitely make sure you take in a tequila factory tour. Jet skiing in the ocean was fun as well.

Your gonna have an awesome time no matter what you end up doing. Have fun!

Said hello to Victor and his wonderful shop in P.V today, and I can't wait to return. Great little lounge downstairs. Victor seems like winner. I'd recommend this shop when in P.V. Having a SCDLH Mercaderes and enjoying the ocean view. :stretchgr Anyone have dinner recommendations for us tonight?
