I know I have been posting stressful stuff lately. Wife is cancer free just going to have surgery to get rid of the problem. We are getting ready to head to Phoenix to be with Savannah and parents.

The good news is I am starting my Masters program this Friday at ASU. Like some already know my goal is to continue working at the Vet Center. As a vet that has gone through PTSD counseling I want to help other vets with life readjustments. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am off work this week to get my mind set right for school and enjoy some cigars.

That's great to hear some good news! I'm sure you will do great in school, I'm going back soon, after 5 plus years of just working. We can be nervous together! Enjoy smoking while studying, I know I will be!

Awesome news.

F*ck cancer! I am so glad to hear your wife beat it.

Good on you with the school thing as well....

I didnt start my masters program until I had been out for almost 20 years.. It took me 5 years to get it completed (took the part time route while continuing to work).. but it was well worth it.. the first semester was challenging... just trying to get back into "student" mode and dusting off the study skills, etc was a little difficult.. the second semester wasnt quite as bad.. by the third semester I had things down to a science.. and it became a whole lot easier to balance work, family and school all at the same time.. which made the last few years a breeze (by comparrison to the first year)..

good luck to you with your studies.. I hope you find your program rewarding and it helps you get you where you want to be in your career..
