Went to my son's basketball game. He's 7 and not very good. Talked with the coach before the game about letting kids other than his son play point guard and actually touch the ball during the game. He took my advice and let 4 kids, including mine, play point guard for a quarter each. He benched his son after his son complained (to his dad and the team) that the boy playing point guard first sucked.
Off in a short while to pickup some wings then figure out what to smoke after all go to bed tonight.
Those 4 kids each handled the ball today more than they all have combined over the first 5 games. They were so excited and happy.
They lost 15 to 4, but didn't give a damn because they weren't just spectators in the "dribble the ball down court and chuck it" show.
I had a very great day and my son's was even better.
