Hi,

I just got a new Mac and bumped from 10.5.x to 10.6.4. I've tried Chrome & Safari, and when attempting to install Google Gears I get the note that my browser is not supported. Please help.

Thanks,
Jacob

Just for kicks have you tried Firefox?

I can try and reproduce tomorrow at work if ya'd like. I'll let you know if anyone around the office has had a similar issue.

google gears website states:

"Google Gears has not been officially released for Snow Leopard and may include bugs. I am not able to support Google Gears in any way."

so i would stay away from safari for this one...firefox would be a good try but i love 10.6...just picked up a new mac air and have been kicking along.

I hope they get it sorted out quickly. Major bummer not having offline mail. Chrome is my browser of choice. I've heard Firefox works with an extension, but I'd really like to stick with Chrome. Thanks fellas.

Just set up your Gmail account as IMAP in the OS X mail app. That's what I have running on my end.

Ya I had that upgraded (IMO) to the Gmail webmail. I'd like to retain that feature on the new fancy Mac.
