Ok fellas I'm back officially everything is moved and am good to go.. plus my drawers for my wineador should be here thursday so thats bringing some light to my day... on the darker note.. my car was broken into and my camera gear was stolen F@cking d@uches .. I had just finished shooting a baseball game and left my gear in the car because I was tired the night before to bring everything in.. next day smashed window and everything gone... pricks Def someone who knows me! so upsetting upwards 20,000 worth of gear gone in one swift movement all my life work that I saved for gone.. and no insurance because I was all cash and not an official business.. Anyways sorry just venting here because my wife is away for work and figured I can hear other peoples success stories than mine lol SO HOW IS EVERYONE ??? :hammersma

I have my film cameras so I'll be shooting film from here on out I had my 5d mkiii,mkii, and my 7d in my pelican case but I look at is as a blessing as I was just telling myself I want to be more adapt to film
That sucks! Like others have said, usually your renters/homeowners will cover personal belongings outside your home. They did for my daughter's diaper bag when it got stolen out of our car visiting my parents in Boston.
That sucks man, check your local craigslist in a few weeks to see if it pops. Happened to a guy on another forum I'm on, someone broke into his garage and stole 2 sets of rims and a transmission. He just found 1 set of rims on craigslist today.
That sucks man, I am not sure what I would do if my gear was taken from me. This is just that little extra motivation to always clear out the car.
If you have all your OG boxes (or some photos on your computer it is in your EXIF info) with your serial numbers on them post your stolen gear in these areas & start checking craigslist or even local pawn shops. Also maybe give the cops the serial numbers as well.

If it was in your car, your car insurance should give you some compensation. Talk with your agent and then push them hard.
