I bought a new, first ever MM cob for myself, but when I got it, the stem was so loose if ya held it and shook it just a little, it would fall out, then when I tried to put it back in, it got even looser, so I took it out to the shop, turned a 3/32 thick sleeve, with a bead on the end, turned out of walnut, glued that in, took a stem I had here and turned a bead on it, heated and bent it and this is what I have now

Then I wanted to turn a couple more tampers, I have a show coming up and I hope they let me put these out for sale,

But my main reason for shop time today was to get back to making some horns to keep ahead in case of a huge sales event and I need horns now. Yeah, like that will happen
any way, I made a close version of a Berks County screw tip horn from Art DeCamps book of originals. It could have used a little more curve, but it was a good horn for what I wanted to make. Hope I didn't bore ya too much. Ok out to mow grass, vacation day?
