Went to go see Queensryche last night. Won the chance to see the soundcheck through a local radio station. Well, the band's management moved the soundcheck up by an hour and nobody told the station. We get there and got the last 2 mins or so of the soundcheck.

The radio promotions guy wasn't happy and the band's tour manager felt bad because another group did get to see it (they either paid $25 extra for the soundcheck ticket or won from another station) so he told us that since the other group got to see it, they'ld take us backstage for a private Meet & Greet instead (great trade in my book!). They were incredibly friendly, outgoing and polite. I guess after 30 years in the business, the star-thing wore off.

I know that everyone says, "If there's no picture, it didn't happen" so here ya go fellas....

My dad got me listening to Queensryche when i was younger. (I was probably the only person in grade school listening to these guys...) Very cool experience to meet one of your favorite bands! I havent really followed anything these guys have put out after Q2k. Of their albums ive heard, Operation Mindcrime and Empire are definitely my favorites.

Thats cool. I used to listen to them quite a bit but Empire is the standout IMO.

I think the longer your in the buisness the more "Normal" you get.
I had the chance to meet Micheal Stipe at an independent film Festival a few years back and he was just a very normal guy. Very freindly and gave a lot of time to the people who approached him.
Although I was in the Czech Republic where most peole did not recognize him.
